Costume Sketches

Since the lore of Edith Victoria is rich, we needed an artist that could successfully conceptualize and execute that vision. We wanted it to blend well with steampunk elements as well as create its own vibe. One of the key features about the creche uniforms was that it was mainly gender neutral. I was inspired by a few policies set at a Thai university, where students had a selection of bottoms to wear as long as it fell into code. I imagined the creche to be similar. That being said, a few males wear skirts/kilts/hakamas simply because they prefer it, Thomas being one of them!

Edith's "Feast Day" uniform was quite fun to design. She typically wears pants and trousers, but I suppose she wanted to glam it up a bit with a full high-low skirt.

Shoes are quite important. Those who've done any kind of march would know!

And lastly, their battle dress uniforms. Each character will have a unique variation of the battle dress, depending on their skills and abilities. Edith is your classic "tank" type, though she isn't the biggest person in her covey. As such, she's outfitted with a gauntlet and some light leather armor.

Body types will be our next post, along why I feel it's important to show a variety of different body types in this VN!
