Overdue Post

I'm currently on the last bit of reviews for Act I, and all of our illustrations are done! Here's a sneak peek at the current love interests (possibly, depending on your choices).

Gilbert Nathaniel hails from the eastern parts of the Empire. His father is the head of House Manghala. His mother comes from Clan Victoria and is the third wife of the family. Gilbert has many siblings, but is the only child from his mother. When Gilbert was 13 years-old, his father disowned him for speaking against the first wife of his family. Gilbert was stripped of his titles and his birth name and was sent to the creche. Gil is a tank of a man, but his combat specialty is ironically not defense. His weapons of choice include crossbows and whips, and he's left-handed.

And here's Thomas Rayner, the strongest wielder in all the creche. He's the equivalent of this world's mage. He's a fire-breather, literally and figuratively. He was born in the creche like his fellow brother Alan but was demoted from his covey for running his mouth. So in essence, he's slightly older than the rest of his current covey. Aside from his charming looks (and freckles!) he's also compact, standing at about 5'6" to Edith's 5'10". I wanted to portray "unconventional" couples and thought Thomas would naturally fit the bill.
